Tuition and Fees


The following schedule of tuition and fees is effective for the 2012-2013/2013-2014 school years. The school reserves the right to add or change any of the fees or charges listed below at any time without prior written notice.

[1] An Institutional Service fee is assessed to all registered students. The institutional service fee supports student email set-up and maintenance, student intranet (eGo), server maintenance, library databases (electronic), learning management system (Canvas), student records management (CampusVue & ePortal), and other student and financial services.

[2] A Degree Conferral fee is assessed to all degree seeking students upon completion of their program of study and prior to the receipt of their diploma.

[3] A Course Add/Drop fee is assessed to students who elect to change their schedule during the Add/Drop period. The fee is assessed for each Add/Drop request submitted to the Office of the Registrar.

[4] A Late Registration fee is assessed to students who do not register in their scheduled registration period.

[5] A Late Payment fee is assessed to students who are past due on their tuition/payment plans. The fee is charged monthly.

[6] A Returned Check fee is assessed to students when confirmation from the bank is received that a check or credit card transaction was returned due to insufficient funds or a chargeback.

[7] A Student ID Shipping fee is assessed to students requesting a student ID card or replacement ID card to be mailed to an off-campus location. There is no shipping fee for picking up a card from a campus location.

[8] The cost of one official electronic transcript is $5.50, and the cost of one official paper transcript is $7.50. Additional shipping charges may apply. Transcripts may be ordered at https://iwantmytranscript.com.

[9] An Academic Success Lab fee is assessed to all new students participating in Foundations for Scholarship and Practice.

[10] A Criminal Background Check fee, which varies in amount by location, is paid directly to an identified third party vendor through instructions provided by the Office of Student Services.

[11] A UPass fee is assessed to full-time students attending the Chicago Campus only.

[12] UPass Issuance Fee - card activation fee (one-time charge when your UPass card is issued)

[13] A Deferred Tuition Payment Plan fee is assessed to students requesting a deferred payment plan. Applications for Deferred Tuition Payment Plans must be submitted to the Office of Student Accounts.

[14] An Extended Payment Plan fee is assessed to any former student requesting a payment plan for a remaining balance.
