Biographical Sketch
Dorothy Farris is vice president of worldwide sales for Jupiter Systems Inc, the industry leader in display wall processors. In this role, she is responsible for building strong customer relationships, implementing comprehensive channel strategies, and developing a leading global sales team.
Farris has more than 20 years of sales leadership experience in high technology and is one of the pioneer sales women in this area. Prior to joining Jupiter, she served as vice president of sales for Wyse Technology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of thin client technology and infrastructure software, where she was responsible for strategic sales to Canada, Latin America, federal government markets, and global system integrators. She previously held leadership positions of increasing responsibility in the sales organizations at Viewsonic Corporation, Futurelink Corporation, Cyrix Corporation, Allied Signal Aerospace, and Epson America.
Farris also worked at Compaq Computer Corporation, Exxon Office Systems, and IBM. She earned a B.A. in math and B.S. in business administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Besides serving on the board of trustees of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Dorothy also sits on the national advisory board of The Women's Museum in Dallas, Texas. She has also served as president and board member for Leadership California, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to advancing the leadership of women in the business, social, and public policy arenas.
