Biographical Sketch
Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz is founder, Chairman, and CEO of ComPsych Corporation, the world's largest provider of employee assistance programs (EAPs) and the leading provider of fully integrated EAP, behavioral health, work-life, wellness, crisis intervention services, and outsourced HR solutions under the GuidanceResources® brand. ComPsych provides services to over 45 million individuals and 17,000 organizations ranging from the Fortune 500 to smaller public and private companies as well as government entities throughout the U.S. and 100 countries. He is also the Chairman and Managing Partner of Chaifetz Group, a private equity firm focusing on middle-market companies.
Named to Crain’s Chicago Business Who’s Who list every year from 2004 to 2012, Dr. Chaifetz is a member of the American Psychological Association, The Economic Club of Chicago and The Executives’ Club of Chicago. In addition, he has served on the board of directors of several public and private corporations which currently include Access MediQuip and Edgewater Funds, as well as non-profit organizations such as The Field Museum of Natural History, Saint Louis University, TCS Education System and the Miami University Farmer School of Business. In 2007, he was named Saint Louis University’s Entrepreneurial Alumni of the Year and was inducted into the university’s Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame.
Dr. Chaifetz, a licensed neuropsychologist, is a magna cum laude graduate of St. Louis University and received his Psy.D. from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.
