Biographical Sketch
Dr. Nakisher is both a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and an entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of Cornerpiece Consulting, a firm that specializes in leveraging human capital to build stronger businesses. He has also partnered with Jim Liautaud of the UIC Liautaud Graduate School of Business to run the UIC Leadership Advisory Board, a program that unites CEOs from various industries to focus on building better leadership and businesses. As a psychologist, Dr. Nakisher uses a highly interactive and dynamic approach, focusing on helping people "get out of their own way." He has owned and operated the Center for Personal Development, a psychology group practice employing more than 25 psychologists in downtown Chicago, for the past 10 years. His other entrepreneurial enterprises include owning a high-end hair salon on Chicago's Oak Street and starting Talbott Teas, a gourmet tea company that designs teas for Oprah Winfrey and Donald Trump. Dr. Nakisher has extensive experience in business consulting and development that originates with "people changing the face of business." His unique perspective on leadership, marketing, and business development creates better, stronger businesses and better leaders. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and completed his doctoral work at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 1996.
