As a specialized school focused exclusively on psychology, our campus communities are smaller than typical broad-based university environments—a fact that students find extremely valuable at the graduate level. With modestly-sized campuses located in large, urban settings, The Chicago School is able to provide students with the best of both worlds: a close-knit learning environment that allows for frequent interaction and collaboration with faculty and fellow students, in the heart of large metropolitan cities that offer a vast range of opportunities for clinical training, community service, field research, work with diverse populations, professional networking, and fun.
Located directly on the Chicago River, our downtown campus is just steps away from Lake Michigan, the theater district, the famed Magnificent Mile, dozens of museums, and some of the world's top restaurants and clubs. Chicago is often described as a colorful "patchwork quilt" of diverse neighborhoods and provides a true multicultural environment for your educational training.
As a convenience to working professionals, and to those in the northern suburbs of Chicago, we also offer flexible evening/weekend programs at the University Center of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois.
- Los Angeles
Perhaps best known for the sparkle of Hollywood, world-class shopping, and incredible nightlife, Los Angeles is also home to our largest West Coast campus—and to unmatched cultural and social diversity that provides students with never-ending opportunities for personal enrichment, professional training, and community service.
Our Irvine Campus is located near the UC Irvine campus, in a charming area bustling with college students, quaint shops, open-air cafes, and a variety of restaurants. Students enjoy convenient parking, access to UC Irvine's libraries, and a short drive to freeways, beaches, and Disneyland.
Our Westwood Campus is located in the center of Westwood Village, a lively neighborhood next to the UCLA campus and a short drive from Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and several public beaches. This "urban yet suburban" neighborhood (with high-end restaurants, eclectic cafés and sandwich shops, retail shopping, and more) provides students access to UCLA's libraries.
Our Washington, D.C. Campus is within walking distance of the White House and just minutes away from the monuments, museums, and government offices that give the city its sense of vitality and distinction. Students have access to cultural riches that define the city's lifestyle, and to the plethora of agencies and organizations that provide students with hands-on learning and service opportunities.
Can't make it to one of our campuses? Consider our Online programs. The Chicago School's Online programs are designed to make distance learning feel anything but distant. You'll be able to interact directly with faculty and fellow students and gain real-world experience in a flexible format that suits your lifestyle and needs.
