Michele Nealon-Woods, Psy.D.
President, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology
Dr. Michele Nealon-Woods became the eighth president of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology on July 1, 2010. Prior to assuming the institution's top leadership position, she served (and continues to serve) as the first president of the Los Angeles Campus, overseeing its growth and the addition of campuses in Westwood and Irvine, Calif. A 2000 alumna of the Clinical Psy.D. program, she was a faculty member and chair of the Clinical Psychology doctoral program before moving to California.
Dr. Nealon-Woods began her career in clinical psychology in Dublin, Ireland. She moved to the United States in 1994 and between 1994 and 2000, she worked with adolescents in group home and foster care. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings with diverse groups of people including inpatient, outpatient, community mental health, forensic, and academic settings. As a licensed clinical psychologist, she specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. Therapeutic modalities include individual, group, and family therapy and theoretical orientations are primarily behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems.
In addition to the Clinical Psy.D. degree received from The Chicago School, Dr. Nealon-Woods received a B.A. and M.A. from University College in Dublin, Ireland.
