  • Jun 18, 2015 ACT Raising Safe Kids Facilitator Training (13 CEs)
    This introductory training over the course of two days (June18 and 19; 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.), prepares child and family professionals to conduct the nine-week parenting program, Adults and Children Together (ACT) Raising Safe Kids. Developed and coordinated by the American Psychology Association’s Violence Prevention Office, ACT is an evidence-informed violence prevention intervention that focuses on early childhood before violence occurs or escalates.

    Dr. Joseph R. Ferrari of DePaul University presents a review of the science of procrastination, including helping participants understand the causes and consequences of chronic procrastination, which globally, is common among 20% of adults. Attendees will receive a copy of Dr. Ferrari's book, "Still Procrastinating? The No Regrets Guide to Getting It Done."

    This is an introductory presentation on how to create and maintain intimacy in long-term relationships.
