School psychologists with an Ed.S. work with children and adolescents who have learning disabilities or psychological concerns to help them achieve their full potential–academically, socially, and emotionally.
School psychologists with an Ed.D. may choose to continue to work as school psychologists, applying more specialized skills and knowledge to impact their work with children, families, and schools. Some assume leadership roles in school districts, while others pursue a license in clinical psychology so that they can work in private and group practices or hospitals.
