Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology Concentration : TCS-OPP:Los Angeles/Orange County

Students pursuing a Neuropsychology Concentration, in the Clinical Psy.D. program study, the relationship between brain activity and behavior. Students receive an introduction to, and foundation in, assessment and intervention techniques that are based on the scientific study of human behavior as it relates to normal and abnormal functioning of the central nervous system. A primary focus of the program is applying that knowledge to human problems through the focused study of brain-behavior relationships.

Psy.D. in Applied Clinical Psychology, Psychodynamic Psychology Concentration : TCS-OPP:Los Angeles/Orange County

The Chicago School's Psychodynamic Psychotherapy concentration in the Applied Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program is an accelerated, post-master's program that can be completed in just two to three years, including internship. The program prepares students to enter the work force with essential diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative skills as well as in-depth knowledge of psychodynamic theory and exposure to a broad range of dynamically based clinical applications, such as modern psychoanalysis, clinical hypnosis, dream analysis, play therapy and others-to assist the therapeutic process.

The Chicago School's Child Play Therapy and Adolescent Psychotherapy concentration, within the Applied Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program, provides students with a solid foundation in creative approaches to child and adolescent therapy. The L.A. County and Orange County Psy.D. programs prepare students to enter the work force with essential diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative skills as well as in-depth knowledge of psychodynamic theory and exposure to a broad range of dynamically based clinical applications to assist the therapeutic process. Students may apply to complete their clinical training hours at one of our Chicago School Counseling Centers.
