On-Campus Training: Our Centers

In addition to the multitude of service learning experiences through our community partnerships, students benefit from access to specialized centers on each campus that provide them with valuable resources to enhance their education and with opportunities to fulfill practicum and internship requirements.

Forensic Center

As the practice arm of the Chicago Campus' Forensic Psychology Department, The Chicago School Forensic Center brings students together with local organizations on projects that bolster hands-on learning experiences while addressing unmet needs in the community that range from the Juvenile Probation and Court Services Department of Cook County and Illinois Department of Children and Family Service agencies to women's shelters and programs for ex-offenders. Forensic Training Institute

Through partnerships with agencies and organizations throughout the Los Angeles area, the Forensic Training Institute provides L.A. Campus forensic psychology students opportunities to train law enforcement personnel, governmental staff, and representatives of nonprofit organizations in areas ranging from gang intervention to recognition of mental illness indicators.

ConCISE Center for Performance Management and Consulting

The consulting arm of the L.A. Campus' Business Psychology Department, the ConCISE Center works with small businesses, helping to develop leadership programs, manage change, and undertake strategic planning initiatives. Learn more.

Counseling Centers

Students at our Los Angeles, Irvine, and Westwood campuses may apply for the unique opportunity to complete their required clinical training hours at one of our Chicago School Counseling Centers, two of Southern California's largest and most well-respected community counseling centers. Learn more.

Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute for Mental Health Education

Part of the Clinical Counseling Department at the Chicago Campus, the Cohen Institute offers conferences and sponsors activities designed to eradicate the stigma associated with mental illness. Learn more.

National Center for Research and Practice, Latino Mental Health

The Chicago School's National Center for Research and Practice, Latino Mental Health and our Center for Latino/a Mental Health at our Chicago Campus work to promote well-being in the Latino/a community by contributing to the reduction of mental health disparities. The center also works toward addressing an ongoing shortage of culturally competent mental health professionals in the field through scholarly research, community service, and education.

Center for Multicultural and Diversity Studies

Diversity is a fundamental component of The Chicago School's mission. The Center for Multicultural and Diversity Studies was chartered to help realize this mission and serves as a resource to both The Chicago School community and to professionals across the country.

Centers for International Studies

Working with international populations is a new and ever-expanding frontier of the psychology profession. The Chicago School maintains a Center for International Studies at each campus, helping to create learning experiences that are wholly unique and unrivaled when compared to other professional schools.
