Counseling Centers

Students at our Los Angeles, Irvine, and Westwood campuses may apply for the unique opportunity to complete their required clinical training hours at one of our Chicago School Counseling Centers, two of southern California's largest and most well-respected community counseling centers. The centers, located at our Irvine and Westwood campuses, provide mental health counseling, psychotherapy, and a full range of psychological services for individuals and families in the community.

Through our innovative training model, students learn marketing and operations related to running a private practice and graduate with valuable real-world training as they prepare to launch their careers.

Arming the LAPD with Psychology

For thousands of L.A.’s law enforcement agents, dealing with public offenders calls for more than a first-hand knowledge of the law. Dr. Debra Warner and her forensic psychology students are helping police officers to recognize lawbreakers with mental health issues and to use psychology in their day-to-day work.

Arming LAPD

Dr. Rachel Findel-Pyles

“When provided consistently and intensively as early intervention, ABA techniques can and do virtually eliminate the diagnosis of autism in young children. As dramatic as that sounds, for those of us who do this every day, it’s just an accepted fact.” -Dr. Rachel Findel-Pyles, Faculty, Applied Behavior Analysis, L.A. Campus
