Our world needs mental health professionals more than ever - to meet the increasingly complex psychological needs in our schools, businesses, legal system, and communities near and far, and to address the growing challenges that affect a society in which one in four U.S. adults suffers from a mental disorder, and depression alone affects 120 million people worldwide.

For more than 30 years The Chicago School of Professional Psychology has worked to meet those needs, providing our students with the real-world learning opportunities, multicultural sophistication, and academic training they need to become the next generation of psychologists.

Thanks to our alumni, who laid the foundation for an educational model that now incorporates service learning in our curriculum and promotes community service as vital to both personal and professional development, our students are already making an impact.

Building on innovative programs spearheaded by faculty with strong community ties, we are proud to report that last year Chicago School students and faculty performed more than 800,000 hours of low cost and pro bono service to the community. Our campuses in Southern California alone contributed the equivalent of nearly $150,000 in hours of services to the areas around Los Angeles, Westwood, and Irvine.

Contributions will help support those service learning and community-based initiatives, and fund scholarships for students with financial need so we can ensure their professional growth and continue to prepare them to serve our global community.
