Scholarship Eligibility


ELIGIBILITY FOR HBCU FACULTY & ADMINISTRATORS

  • Must be a tenured or tenure-track female faculty member or emerging leader at a four-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU)
  • Must have a doctoral degree in an NSF-recognized (research oriented) science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field (including quantitative social sciences)
    PLEASE NOTE: Health science professional fields (e.g. Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Veterinary) are not eligible.
  • Applied SBE fields (e.g. clinical and counseling psychology) are not eligible for support
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

ELIGIBILITY FOR TRIBAL COLLEGE FACULTY & ADMINISTRATORS

  • Must be a female faculty member or emerging leader at a Tribal College or University (TCU) 
  • Must have a master’s degree in an NSF-recognized (research oriented) science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field (including quantitative social sciences) 
    • PLEASE NOTE: Health science professional fields (e.g. Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Veterinary) are not eligible. 
  • Applied SBE fields (e.g. clinical and counseling psychology) are not eligible for support 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident 
  • Preference will be given to women: 
    • Who possess a STEM doctoral degree or are enrolled in a STEM doctoral program 
    • Who are enrolled in a Federally-recognized American Indian Tribe (proof of documentation is requested)
