Chicago Campus School Psychology Program Earns Full NASP Approval

02/13/2012

The School Psychology program is pleased to announce that it has received the highest level of approval from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). The Program Review Board notified TCSPP in February that its Ed.S. in School Psychology earned the distinction of  NASP Approval-Full (National Recognition).

The announcement stands as the capstone of a rigorous review process conducted by NASP to ensure that students in TCSPP’s School Psychology program are trained in a manner consistent with all NASP standards. The process involved reviews of all course syllabi, practicum and internship reviews, performance on state certification exams, and evidence of students making a positive impact on children.

“We are proud of this accomplishment as it is a product of the hard work of all of our faculty and students,” said Dr. Jimmy Walsh, department chair, in his announcement of the project outcome.
