Timothy Burnett, second year student in the Chicago campus Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program, was one of 160 student leaders nationwide who received the Newman Civic Fellows Award. The Newman Civic Fellows Award honors impassioned college and graduate student leaders who exemplify the next generation of public service. Newman Civic Fellows join a web-based network of Fellows and attend state and regional conferences throughout the year. Each year a new class of Fellows is added to the program.
The Newman Civic Fellows Award is presented by Campus Compact, "a national coalition of almost 1,200 college and university presidents—representing some 6 million students—who are committed to fulfilling the civic purposes of higher education."
