After having chosen a historical event or figure to write about, students were then asked to construct a Facebook or Twitter page for the same. Students conducted research and constructed elaborate pages that included quotes, paraphrases, and pictures. As part of Annual Plagiarism Education Week,  Daniel Velasco, Ph.D, a professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology will hold a session on the power of connecting students to what is familiar in order to create new knowledge and stimulate critical thinking skills.
