The Global HOPE Training Initiative—HOPE stands for Healing Opportunities through Purposeful Engagement—is a Chicago School faculty designed, three-week curriculum used to train teachers, orphanage workers, and other childcare professionals how to counsel children who experience, or are exposed to, traumatic life events. The initiative reflects TCSPP's vision of extending the healing effects of psychology around the world. Piloted in Rwanda, Global HOPE is training professionals and working with local partners in countries around the world to customize the curriculum to the needs of each particular region.
