International Psychology Requirements

Students applying to the Ph.D. in International Psychology (post-master's) program must submit the following:

  • Application
  • Application Fee: $50
  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae
  • Essay - Please answer the following question in approximately 500 words.
    • Tell us why you are attracted to a Ph.D. course of study that has as its primary focus in International Psychology. Incorporate in your response how you believe completing this program will enhance your professional career and how you might use your training to work in diverse settings and with peoples of many backgrounds.
  • Statement of Research (using APA format)
  • Official College/University Transcripts
    • Students must submit official transcripts from all schools where degrees have been earned. Official transcripts may be sent directly from the institution or with your application for admission as long as they are official, sealed, and signed across the envelope flap when they arrive.
  • Previous Coursework
    • Organizations and Systems Concentration requires nine semester hours of predefined undergraduate or graduate psychology credit with grades earned of C or better including the following courses;
      • Developmental Psychology
      • Abnormal Psychology or Psychopathology
      • Statistics, Research Methods, Social or other area of psychology
    • Trauma Services Concentration - students must enter with a Master's degree in Psychology or related field such as Pastoral Counseling, Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, or Marriage and Family Therapy
