Biographical Sketch

Bruce A. Fox practices in Neal Gerberg & Eisenberg's Corporate & Securities and Intellectual Property groups, serving as corporate counsel and guiding clients through mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other transactions. Fox represents buyers, sellers, lenders, and investors in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, and broadcasting. In addition, for more than 20 years a significant portion of his practice has involved the legal issues that are unique to computers and information technology. He counsels software developers, value-added resellers, Internet service providers, and technology consultants with respect to raising capital, protecting intellectual property, engaging in strategic alliances, and acquiring businesses. He also advises clients in various other industries as they acquire information technology or related services.

Fox has been a member of the Chicago Bar Association’s Computer Law Committee since its formation in 1982, and he is a member of the International Computer Law Association. He is a frequent speaker to industry groups and has written numerous publications regarding corporate and commercial matters, business transactions and technology issues.

Fox was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1981.

In 1978, Fox graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and computer science. He earned a J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan in 1981.
