Chicago Community Internship Consortium

To meet the internship shortage crisis that currently exists in the field, The Chicago School has partnered with community agencies to offer an internship consortium. This program will not only provide high quality internship training, but it will also promote community engagement and partnership and offer accessible services to underserved constituents in the community.

Recruitment will begin in January 2009, with an invitiation for pre-match applications at that time, and we will additionally participate in the APPIC Clearinghouse.  The program will begin September 1, 2009.

Positions for the 2009-2010 training year are available at Pillars (pillarscommunity.org) and Lawrence Hall Youth Services (lawrencehall.org).  More information about the specific rotations and training supervisors will be available at this website in January 2009. Consortia training allows for major and minor rotations at the community agencies, as well as shared group learning activities such as group supervision, didactics, and case conferences.
