Family Homes

The Family Child Care Homes program is designed to develop and support a network of affordable, high-quality day care homes to
low-income families.  The program also supports parents by providing educational or training programs and assistance with employment.

Description of Service Learner Role
• Conduct behavioral observations of children at Family Child Care Homes
• Use observations to understand a child’s developmental, behavioral, and psychological problems
• Develop recommendations for the children and communicate with their case managers and staff at the Family Child Care Homes

Organization Requirements
• TB test and background check
• Six- to nine-month commitment
• Attend monthly on-campus service learning seminars
