* “Paradise Now depicts two close friends, Palestinians Said and Khaled, recruited by an extremist group to perpetrate a suicide bomber terrorist attack in Tel-Aviv. Something goes wrong at the crossing, they're separated, and the action is postponed, long enough for renewed questioning of what they're about to do. ‘Under the occupation, we're already dead,’ is Khaled's analysis. Fate and God's will seem to drive Said. Can minds change?”
** “Join the ICD fellows as they venture to the West Side neighborhood of Humboldt Park. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the history and architecture of the neighborhood while sampling authentic Puerto Rican cuisine.”
*** “Through a series of misunderstandings, Babel interweaves the unfortunate circumstances of a Moroccan, an American, a Mexican and a Japanese family. These four interlocking stories are all connected by a single gun, converging at the end to reveal a complex and tragic story of the lives of humanity around the world.”
**** “Engaging Chicago: The Diverse Experience Documentary viewing created by the ICD fellows containing a taste of all the excursions as well as their expeditions to other neighborhoods all over the city of Chicago.”
***** “The now legendary story of Emmett Till is believed by many to be the start of the modern civil rights movement of the 1950s and remains one of the most pivotal incidents in a monumental era. This world premiere, part history and part ghost story, is a jazz integration of past and present, the living and dead, factual accounts and creative interpolation.”
