Who is Eligible? All Chicago School continuing students

Fellowship Requirements and Selection Criteria:
- Financial Status: Students will need to submit their FAFSA so that the applicant’s financial need can be evaluated (International applicants, submit financial documents including but not limited to bank statements, Visa documents, I-20)
- Personal Statement: A statement outlining interests and skills in cultural and diversity affairs, including diversity focused research, teaching, and experiences with applied projects and the significance of the proposed project for the applicant’s professional development
- Proposal: A project proposal for the following academic year with specific details on the nature and scope of the work. Please include the potential scholarship, research, and/ or programmatic benefits of the project and the targeted audience
- Faculty Sponsor: Students must also identify a faculty sponsor to advise this project. This faculty sponsor must submit a letter of support on the student’s behalf.
Recommendation Letter: Provide one other letter of recommendation from supervisor, faculty member, or mentor that can speak to your interests, skills and experience with multicultural diversity work
- Vitae or resume that reflects your previous educational and professional experiences
- Writing Sample: A sample of the applicant’s written work is requested
- Selected candidates will be interviewed
Recipients of the award will:
- Present the results of their work in a colloquia format to The Chicago School community and provide a final document of the product (in a format appropriate to the project)
- Be given a list of expectations at the beginning of fellowship term
