  • Three Letters of Recommendation
    Appropriate recommendations are from faculty or administrative officers at your undergraduate or graduate institution and supervisors from significant work or volunteer experience.
  • Official College/University Transcripts
    Students must submit official transcripts from all schools where college credit was received, regardless if a degree was earned. Official transcripts may be sent directly from the issuing institution or with your application for admission as long as they are official, sealed, and signed across the envelope flap when they arrive.

Applied Behavior Analysis Program Essay Questions
(answer on separate sheets of paper)

1. In 500 words (two typed pages) describe the areas of applied behavior analysis that most interest you – including your professional goals – and how those interests developed.  How will completion of the doctoral program in Applied Behavior Analysis facilitate achieving your professional goals?   

2. As a behavior analyst, you are likely to work and study with people from many different backgrounds. Please tell us in 500 words (two typed pages) some of the challenges you see studying and working with people different from yourself, and what you would contribute in your interactions. 

Business Psychology Program Essay Questions
(answer on separate sheets of paper)

1. In what areas (e.g., selection and placement, organizational development, performance management) will you, as a business psychologist, affect or contribute to the business world? How will your contributions differ from those with an M.B.A. or other business training?

2. In your role as a business psychology student, you are likely to work and study with people from many backgrounds. In 500 words (two typed pages), tell us what will be some of the challenges for you studying with people different from yourself, and what you would contribute in your interactions with them.

Clinical Psychology Program Essay Questions

1. Many people choose Clinical Psychology as a career because they are interested in helping other people. Please tell us in 500 words (two typed pages) additional reasons, other than helping people, why you would like to be a clinical psychologist.

2. In your role as a clinical psychology student, you are likely to work and study with people from many backgrounds. In 500 words (two typed pages), tell us what will be some of the challenges for you studying with people different from yourself, and what you would contribute in your interactions with them.

  • Official GRE Scores
    You must arrange for your official GRE scores to be sent to the school. The Chicago School Code is 1119. Students who have yet to take the GRE examination should contact GRE at www.GRE.org to register for an exam date. Students who have taken the test within the last five years should contact GRE at www.GRE.org or 1-888-GRE SCORE, to have their scores forwarded directly to the school.
Previous Coursework Requirements

Applied Behavior Analysis Psy.D.

  • Psychology (at least one course)
  • Research or Statistics (at least one course)
  • Experience in either Experimental Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis

Business Psy.D.
12 hours of psychology coursework, including one course in each:

  • Psychology
  • Research Methods or Experimental Psychology
  • Statistics or Quantitative Psychology

Clinical Psy.D.
18 hours of psychology coursework, including one course in each:

  • Child/Human Development or Lifespan
  • Abnormal Psychology
  • Statistics
Additional Requirements for International Students
  • Official “Course-by-Course” transcript evaluation of all international transcripts. Visit www.ece.org or www.wes.org for more information
  • Official TOEFL scores must be sent to the school (TOEFL Code: 7161) or IELTS (www.ielts.org) scores must be sent to the school.  
  • If you are a permanent resident, you must also submit a copy of Permanent Resident Card
  • Visit International Student Services for more information about additional requirements once you have been admitted.
