  • Three Letters of Recommendation
    Appropriate recommendations include faculty or administrative officers at your undergraduate or graduate institution and supervisors from significant work or volunteer experience.
  • Official College/University Transcripts
    Students must submit official transcripts from all schools where college credit was received, regardless if a degree was earned. Official transcripts may be sent directly from the issuing institution or with your application for admission as long as they are official, sealed, and signed across the envelope flap when they arrive.
  • Essay
    • Please answer the following question within three double spaced typed pages (approximately 500 to 750 words).
      Psychology is a vast discipline with many career options.  In an essay format, please describe:
      1. Why you chose this particular program/specialization.* Cite specific experiences and examples.
      2. Why it is important to you to study this discipline at a school that emphasizes cultural awareness, competence, and understanding of diversity (see our Commitment to Diversity statement).  
      3. Your professional career goals as they relate to this specialization.
      4. Why you believe this program will assist you in reaching these goals.

*Note:  Essay must specifically address the program’s specialization for which you are applying:

Additional Application Requirements for International Students
  • Official “Course-by-Course” transcript evaluation of all international transcripts: Visit www.ece.org or www.wes.org for more information
  • Official TOEFL scores must be sent to the school (TOEFL code: 7161) or IELTS (www.ielts.org) scores must be sent to the school. 
  • If you are a permanent resident, you must also submit a copy of Permanent Resident Card
