The Federal Work Study (FWS) Program provides jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to each student’s course of study.

- Hourly wage $10
- Work up to 20 hours/week
- Eligibility does not guarantee a job. Students must apply and interview.

How to Apply for Federal Work Study
- File a 2008-2009 FAFSA form, listing The Chicago School (code B07022) as a recipient.
- Students must submit a federal work study eligibility form to Financial Aid. Once form is reviewed completed by Financial Aid staff, student will take the form to his or her interview. Eligibility form to be completed and signed by hiring manager if they are going to hire new student.
- International students are eligible to be considered for up to 10 hours of week of either nonfederal work study/on-campus employment or a faculty/teaching assistantship. However, rather than filing the FAFSA these students must submit the required financial documentation. Visit the International Student Services page for details.
