At The Chicago School, we’re not just preparing professional psychologists. With a mission grounded in service, community and diversity, we’re changing lives.
We call it Community-Engaged Scholarship. Throughout their Chicago School education, our students work in social service agencies, schools, hospitals, mental health centers and even businesses …
- Using psychology to improve the lives of underserved populations
- Strengthening organizations that provide critical mental health services in the community
- Helping nonprofit and for-profit organizations use psychology skills in new and creative ways
Our alumni continue to live the mission after graduating, using their Chicago School education to serve their communities as professionals, role models and leaders.
Last year, our students provided more than 400,000 hours of community service through their practicum experiences and internships. Some 350 organizations and countless individuals were the beneficiaries of their efforts.
Educating to serve, and serving to educate, it’s what we do at The Chicago School. It’s the mission that makes us who we are, the mission that has instilled passion and purpose in our alumni.
And it’s why we’re asking for your support.
Your gift to The Chicago School Annual Fund will help prepare the next wave of professional psychologists, but perhaps more importantly, it will invest in the futures of hundreds who benefit from our work.
Make a gift. Make a difference.
