Days/Hours Available for Service Learners:
Thursdays, 9:00-11:00
Plus additional training and supervision at The Chicago School (days/times for training sessions are determined by the Teacher Support Team members’ semester schedules)

Description of Service Learner Role:

  • Provide teacher assistance in Head Start classroom
  • Learn and provide age-appropriate yoga-based and team-building activities in the classroom
  • Participate in active learning training and supervision sessions with other members of the support team and Head Start staff

Organization Requirements:
  • Interview with Chicago School liaison and submission of CV
  • Erie House volunteer application (to be completed during interview)
  • TB test results (within one year)
  • Background Check

Number of Placements Available:
Minimum of 11 (one service learner per classroom)
