Days/Hours Available for Service Learners:
Weekdays available with hours from 2:00-5:00
Description of Service Learner Role:
- Provide assistance to director of literacy programs for school-aged children
- Provide homework assistance in reading and writing skills, arithmetic, and other academic subjects
- Provide supervision of children in designated homework areas
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions with other members of school-age program staff
Organization Requirements:
- Interview with Chicago School liaison and submission of CV
- Erie House volunteer application (to be completed during interview)
- TB test results (within one year)
- Background Check
