
The Chicago School lost a member of its family on December 5, 2006. Leonard Draganowski was a beloved alumnus, teacher, leader, mentor, and friend. “Dr. D” earned a Psy.D. from the school in 2003 and returned to campus in the fall of 2004 as adjunct faculty. He joined the Clinical Psychology M.A., Counseling specialization, program faculty in 2005.

Who is Eligible? All current Chicago School students from all programs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A 250-500 word essay describing your interest and plans for a project (current or future) that contributes to the understanding of and improves services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer, and questioning (LGBTQQ) youth or people affected by HIV/AIDS
- A curriculum vita or resume that reflects your educational and professional experiences (educational, research, professional, or personal) related to these populations.
Identify a faculty sponsor who will advice your work on – and submit a letter of support for – your project to the selection committee
- Two letters of recommendation from previous or current faculty members or supervisors that describe and evaluate your experiences of learning about and/or working with these populations
- Submit writing or work samples related to your project if available
Recipients of this award must:
- Be present at The Chicago School graduation ceremony to receive the award
- Demonstrate an active commitment to learning about, promoting understanding about, and improving the lives of LGBTQQ youth and/or people affected by HIV/AIDS
- Engage in scholarly research and professional activities related to these underserved populations
- Develop a final written document of the outcomes of their work that will be added to The Chicago School library
- Present the outcomes of their work in a colloquium to The Chicago School community
