Education, innovation, service, and community; these four words are at the heart of The Chicago School’s mission.
What began 30 years ago as a small regional Clinical Psy.D. program, is today the nation’s largest nonprofit school dedicated to the advancement of professional psychology education.
The Chicago School draws students from around the globe to two of our nation's most vibrant cities: Chicago and Los Angeles. Meanwhile, our Online Campus combines the quality of a Chicago School education with convenience to better serve our students who are working professionals. We prepare tomorrow's psychology leaders and practitioners by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to meet the evolving health, organizational, forensic, and human development needs of our society. Our dedicated faculty members bring years of professional practice to The Chicago School. As our field has evolved so have we by offering opportunities for study or specialization in key and emerging areas of psychology such as applied behavior analysis and forensic psychology. We are driven by one common purpose: to be the school of choice for the study of professional psychology.
To achieve this vision, The Chicago School is committed to innovation. Programs such as our Business Psychology Psy.D., Forensic Psychology Psy.D., and International Psychology Ph.D. are the first of their kind in the country. We also were a pioneer in incorporating diversity and multicultural studies in all of our curricula. The Chicago School has twice been recognized by the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology: first for significant contributions to the area of diversity, and second for outstanding advocacy for the field of psychology.
To witness The Chicago School’s commitment to service and community, just look at our students. Each year Chicago School students engage in more than 600,000 hours of community service. Whether it is helping children with autism or working in schools, hospitals, drug treatment centers, or businesses, our students are making a profound difference.
The Chicago School's graduates are helping people and are working to build better communities in many settings all over the world. If you would like an innovative and personal education with a commitment to diversity, service, and community, please consider The Chicago School.
Sincerely,
Michael Horowitz, Ph.D.
