The Chicago School now offers its Ed.S. in School Psychology in an intensive, weekend format (suitable for working adults) at the University Center of Lake County (UCLC) in Grayslake, Illinois. The program provides graduates with the skills and experiences required to earn a Type 73 degree with a specialization in school psychology in the state of Illinois.
Program Overview
Course Schedules

All courses are taught in a blended format that includes on-campus and online instruction.

A “cohort” program in which all entering candidates follow the same course progression plan together.

All on-campus meetings occur on Saturdays from 9am-5pm.

Candidates take eight semester hours of classes in the spring and fall, and four semester hours in the summer.
Clinical Training

Each candidate will spend a considerable number of hours working with students in schools during the first three years of the program.

Practicum placement takes place during the third year of the program.

Internship placement takes place during the fourth year of the program.

Each candidate is required to complete the Type 73 School Psychology Examination and the Praxis II Exam in School Psychology.
