Supervision and Leadership in Community Mental Health

The Supervision and Leadership in Community Mental Health Concentration for those enrolled in our Counseling Psychology graduate programs provides students with fundamental concepts and theories as well as the initial skills needed to provide both clinical and management supervision in community mental health settings. Students in this concentration will be prepared to assume entry-level supervisory and leadership roles along with traditional clinical work in their early career.

The Supervision and Leadership in community health courses that make up this graduate program in Counseling Psychology will help develop the essential diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative skills professionals need to work with a variety of emotional and psychological conditions appearing in diverse populations.

Our experienced faculty of working professionals teaches students of our graduate programs in Counseling Psychology the ethical and professional guidelines of the counseling profession and Clinical Psychology. As our knowledgeable faculty bridges the fields of Clinical Psychology and Counseling, students will learn the skills they need for their professional careers. Students studying Supervision and Leadership in community mental health while enrolled in our graduate programs in Counseling Psychology will learn the theoretical frameworks and scientific bases of master’s level clinical psychology. Graduates of our Counseling Psychology graduate programs also maintain a broad and current knowledge base through the research methodologies learned at The Chicago School, as well as gain the ability to critically evaluate research as it relates to their specialization within the field of Clinical Psychology.
