Description of Organization
The Youth Campus is a private not for profit agency that works with children, youth, and their families.  Since 1877, the Youth Campus has been serving children and families in need by developing, implementing, and advocating for effective programs and supportive services.  Their programs include adolescent residential treatment, foster care and adoption, community based programs, and programs for children with serious illnesses.

Descriptions of Projects
One-on-one Mentor

  • Mentor youth in foster care on a weekly basis
  • Group Mentor

  • Assist TYC staff in mentoring a group of teens
  • Help TYC staff provide life-skills training for the adolescent group
  • Organization Requirements

  • TB test, drug test, and Illinois Department of Human Services background and fingerprinting checks
  • 9-month commitment
  • Attend monthly on-campus CES seminars
