Dr. Petroy is currently the Assistant Vice President for Online and Off-Campus Programs for Robert Morris University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University, Master of Science degree in Management Accounting from Troy State University, and a Doctor of Management degree in Organizational Leadership from The University of Phoenix. Dr. Petroy has been teaching traditional, blended and online education since 1992 and has been the project lead in launching four different University online programs and platforms.
Dr. Petroy has trademarked a motivational lecture series titled 'Inspiration Through Knowledge". He has spoken to groups both domestically and internationally about motivation, knowledge creation, and inspiration. Additionally, he closely works with CEOs and CFOs in their leadership roles and provides professional executive coaching to inspire their workforce, achieve personal and professional growth, and effectively manage change initiatives. Dr. Petroy has also held academic administrative roles including Campus President, Dean of Academic Affairs, Academic Program Director and Program Chair.
In addition to his academic career, Dr. Petroy has over twenty years of corporate experience in the development of organizations that leverage new technologies to expand into international and globalized markets. He has held senior staff positions of Controller, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of International Operations and takes pride in bringing this practical experience into the educational system. Dr. Petroy is a United States Air Force veteran and served during the Gulf War. Since his separation from the Air Force, he lived in Europe for seven years and has traveled to 37 countries, working in over 20 of them.
