Dr. Pecora is an Affiliate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and has been teaching at TCS since 2008, currently in the Clinical PsyD department (Child & Adolescent Specialization). She is a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (PsyD, Clinical Psychology, 2008), The Catholic University of America (MA, General Psychology, 2003), and Hope College (BA, Psychology, 2000). She is a member of the American Psychological Association (Div 38-Health Psychology, Early-Career Counsel), the Association for Contextual & Behavior Therapies (Chicago Chapter), and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapists.
Dr. Pecora is a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois. As a cognitive-behavioral therapist, she specializes in Health Psychology, and treats a wide range of adolescent and adult complaints and comorbidities, including anxiety, depression, couples/relationship issues, culture/diversity issues, work-life balance, and life transitions. Her research interests include effectiveness of programs to promote healthy behavior change, phenomenological experience of such changes, and how technology interventions to improve/enhance current therapy.
Dr. Pecora also holds positions as Co-Director of Center for Behavioral Medicine & Sport Psychology, and Research Psychologist at Northwestern Univerisity's Center for Behavioral Intervention Technologies (CBITs).
