Dr. Principato obtained her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2010. She is actively engaged in clinical practice with adults, children, and adolescents. She has trained in a variety of settings, including residential facilities, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and nonprofit clinics. Dr. Principato taught courses as adjunct faculty at The Chicago School prior to taking on her current position in the Clinical Psy.D. Department. Her interests include topics in psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, identity development, attachment, interpersonal neurobiology, parenting, and psychological assessment.
