Ileana Torres is currently the Senior Applied Research Project Instructor for the MAP Online Program. Ileana instructs all courses sand seminars associated with the ARP.  She earned her B.A. in Applied Psychology at the University of Illinois and then a M.A. in Community Counseling and Human Services from Roosevelt University.  Before coming to TCS in 2007, Ileana was coordinating a family literacy program which served adults and children in the community.  She also taught ESL for adults through Moraine Vally Community College.  Ileana was  was a nationally certified counselor and has done individual, couple, and family therapy. Her experiences also include working with children and families to enhance growth and development in the areas of education, health, nutrition, and social services with one of the CEDA Head Start programs.  Overall, her background in program evaluation, grant writing, and the development of trainings and workshops on topics such as child development, parenting, community resources, and language aquisition are what have provided her with a wealth of knowledge and experience that she brings to her role as Senior ARP Instructor.
