Dr. Weisbender earned his PhD in educational and clinical psychology from the University of Southern California and has extensive experience in educational and clinical psychology, teaching graduate psychology, advising doctoral candidates and educational evaluation (from primary to post-graduate). Dr. Weisbender joined the California Graduate Institute as a professor of graduate psychology, eventually being appointed to the position of Provost where he led the school's doctoral candidates in the preparation and defense of hundreds of dissertations. His Guide to Writing Proposals and Dissertations has been used by thousands of students in securing their doctoral degrees.
Dr. Weisbender also served as a top administrator of the Los Angeles Unified School District's Research and Evaluation Division, where he was responsible for evaluating numerous LAUSD programs and initiatives. Prior to joining the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Weisbender served as a professional expert in helping organizations secure educational grants from the National Science Foundation, regularly meeting with top educators in Washington, D.C., and maintained a private clinical practice. Dr. Weisbender is a licensed clinical psychologist and marriage and family therapist, and holds a variety of teaching and administrative credentials from the California Department of Education.
