Biography

Dr. Marilyn J. Bugenhagen is an assistant professor of organizational leadership currently serving as a faculty affiliate.  She offers significant experience in leader and organization development, management, organizational behaviors and complexity.  Her experience includes higher education leadership for both profit and non-profit centers of the university.  Dr. Bugenhagen focuses on learning through developmental psychology for adults across their lifespan.  Her research interests include leader and leadership development, including motivation, emotional intelligence, leader-member exchange, transformational & transactional, servant, and a focus on developmental psychology of adults. 

Dr. Bugenhagen has published articles in Journal of Leadership and Organization Studies, Journal of Leadership Studies, Journal of Leadership Education, Psychological Abstracts, and the Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management. She has presented her work at the Eastern Academy of Management, Midwest Academy of Management, International Leadership Association, Association of Leadership Educators, and National Leadership Symposium.  She serves as a peer reviewer for conference and journal papers.

Dr. Bugenhagen is an active member of the Midwest Academy of Management (2013-14 president), Academy of Management, and Association of Leadership Educators (JOLE Editing Managing Board).
