Nina Dulabaum has extensive international experience designing and teaching traditional, blended and online curricula using a variety of course management systems. Fostering innovation and academic excellence, she has conducted evaluation research to increase faculty and student retention and success, and has mentored students through their graduate research projects. As an administrator she established a new department for the Leipzig City Government and designed and led numerous educational initiatives. She has also supervised over 300 faculty, implementing strategies for institutional effectiveness.
Some of her groundbreaking work in the field of international psychology includes de-escalation interventions with young skinheads in the former East Germany, the coordination of a national congress on right-wing extremism in Leipzig, and research on effective learning in cross-cultural settings. She volunteers locally and internationally, currently serving as an Ambassador for the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association {HETL} and recently as a spokesperson for the American Heart Association. Her publications include her bestselling handbook: Mediation: The ABCs. The Art of Dealing with Conflicts Effectively (5th edition, 2009), "Cross-Cultural Learning" (2009), “A Pedagogy for Global Understanding” (2011), and “Mentoring Faculty for Excellence in Online Teaching” (2011).
