Biography
Dr. Wilcoxson received her MA (Honors) in Philosophy and English Literature from St. Andrews University, in Scotland. She then received her MA in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University and worked as a Child and Family Therapist, before beginning her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology (APA Accredited) at Pacific University in Portland, OR. While at Pacific, she focused on Psychological Assessment and Forensic Psychology and completed a research internship and her dissertation at the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit in Quantico, VA. Dr. Wilcoxson completed her Pre-Doctoral Internship (APA Accredited) at Mendota State Hospital in Madison, WI. She completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Forensic Psychology through the University of Washington School of Medicine at the Special Commitment Center, where she conducted research and court ordered psychological evaluations of Sexually Violent Predators. Dr. Wilcoxson then returned to the UK where she developed and was program leader for the Master’s program in Forensic Mental Health at Nottingham Trent University. Prior to beginning her role as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Psychology program she served as Senior Director of Clinical Training at TCSPP.
