Biography
Robert Miller, Ph.D. is a full time core faculty member, Associate Professor, with the Industrial-Organizational/Business Psychology Department at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (Los Angeles Campus) and in private practice as a licensed psychologist, with specialties in workplace deviance and mental health issues in the workplace, organizational systems, organizational change, personnel selection, statistics, and research methods. Dr. Miller provides a broad range of skills and experience, including expertise in industrial-organizational psychology (M.A., The Chicago School of Professional Psychology), clinical psychology (Ph.D., Illinois Institute of Technology), and experimental psychology (M.A., California State University at Fullerton), with extensive teaching and mentoring experience; a solid grounding in statistical analysis and research methodologies; experience in selection and systems work; as well as working in and leading teams to solve complex organizational problems. He applies his expertise as a clinical psychologist to understanding psychological and emotional processes within organizations, connections of these processes with health and performance issues in the workplace, as well as to developing interventions when needed. Dr. Miller teaches courses in such areas as Research Methods, advanced Statistics, Personnel Psychology, and Social Psychology/Behavioral Economics. He is also involved in research and training as it concerns quantitative/qualitative analyses and methods of organizational research. Above all, Dr. Miller brings a high level of analytical skill to organizational issues, thinking in a discerning and creative manner in integrating information and finding optimal solutions. Dr. Miller is a full member of the American Psychological Association and an associate member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
