Biography

Dr. DA Erickson is an Associate Professor in the MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Online - Counselor Education Department. She brings a variety of teaching experiences to the online university environment and has accumulated twenty-two years of knowledge from teaching hospitals, global technology as a curriculum developer and corporate trainer, treatment centers, and as a Middle and High School Counselor.

She earned her PhD in Education and Human Resources, specializing in School Counseling and Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University as well as her Master's degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Studies. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed School Counselor in Colorado, a Nationally Certified Counselor, an Approved Clinical Supervisor, a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider, an ADHD Clinical Services Provider, a certified Social Responsibility Training Coach, and a Certified Crisis Intervention Team Counselor. Her work with expelled students provided a realistic understanding of the issues facing at-risk youth with whom she continues to work in her small private practice.
