Biography

As long as I can remember I have always wanted to know 'why' people and animals act the way they do. It is not surprising that I would turn to the field of behavior analysis to answer these never ending questions. My journey to become a behavior analyst began when I earned my BA in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati in 2002 and began working for a nonprofit organization supporting children diagnosed with a developmental disability. During seven amazing years supporting families and children I continued to ask 'why'. Frequently unsatisfied with the answers and wanting to make more of an impact, I returned to school and earned my MS in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School in 2011. I continued at The Chicago School and earned my PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2018.

After graduating from TCS, I am thrilled to continue on as faculty and support future generations of students answer 'why 'questions of their own. Some of these question areas have included; teaching techniques for students and staff, conditioned motivating operations, punishment, conditioned reinforcement, and respondent behavior.
