Dr. Rinaldi is a licensed prescribing psychologist in New Mexico and clinical psychologist in Illinois. He received his PhD from Loyola University Chicago and his MA in clinical psychopharmacology from New Mexico State University. Dr. Rinaldi completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Charles I. Doyle Center, Loyola University Chicago and post-doctoral training at the Northwestern University Medical School Developmental Evaluation Clinic, Prentice Women's Hospital. Dr. Rinaldi was on staff of Mercy Hospital and Medical Center of Chicago where he conducted clinical work with children, adolescents, adults and families, and from there took a position with the American Medical Association (AMA). Dr. Rinaldi left the AMA in 1997 as Acting Vice President for Science, Technology and Public Health. During those years Dr. Rinaldi also maintained a small general practice and served as adjunct faculty at the Northwestern University Medical School, Department of Clinical Psychology, and the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.
Following his work at AMA Dr. Rinaldi became Executive Director of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) in Rosemont, IL. He also practiced within the Adventist Hinsdale Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program where he saw patients and taught family medicine residents about psychopharmacology and psychology.
Currently, Dr. Rinaldi is a Prescribing Psychologist at Christus St. Vincent Hospital, Pojoaque Primary Care Clinic, Santa Fe, NM. He practices in a primary care medical clinic with three family medicine physicians and provides psychotherapy and psychotropic medication and management to pediatric, adolescent and adult patients.
