Nona Leigh Wilson, Professor, joined the department in August 2017 as a Core Faculty member. She teaches Helping Relationships, Theories, Diagnosis, Psychopathology, and at times doctoral practicum and internship seminars. Dr. Wilson received her Doctorate in Counselor Education from Ohio University, a CACREP-accredited program. She has been a counselor educator for approximately 24 years. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor in Illinois, a member of ACA, ACES, NCACES, and ILCA; she has served as a CACREP-accreditation site-reviewer since 2008, and served on the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy from 2006 through 2014. She has completed advanced training in Cognitive Therapy at the Beck Institute, and in psychodynamic psychotherapy with both The Chicago Institute of Psychoanalysis and The Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis. She maintains a clinical practice in Evanston, IL working with adults and couples.
