Dr. Garcia received his masters and Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis from Southern Illinois University (2011). Currently, Dr. Garcia is a assistant professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in the ABA online program where he has been a faculty member since 2016. Dr. Garcia is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) with experience in the assessment and treatment of problem behavior in individuals with developmental disabilities, and parent training. Dr. Garcia current research interest focus on derived relational responding such as derived verbal behavior, stimulus equivalence, and relational frame theory, acceptance and commitment training in parent training, supervision and staff training, behavioral momentum and mindfulness applications in applied settings. He is actively involved in the TCSPP where has served in different committees, chaired multiple thesis and dissertations.
