Dr. Randi S. Cowdery is the Assistant Chair for the San Diego Campus of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology Clinical Psychology Marriage and Family Therapy graduate programs.
Dr. Cowdery is a graduate of Loma Linda University's COAMFTE accredited Ph.D., MFT program and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She specializes in strengthed-based postmodern approaches. Among her areas of expertise are issues related to death, dying and bereavement for children and adults, chronic and terminal illness, narrative approaches to grief and loss, older adults, aging and long-term care, and relationships and gender equality.
Dr. Cowdery has presented at national and international conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Motherhood and Gender Equality, African American Couples and Gender Equality, Narrative Approaches to Grief Among Elder Women, Re-Membering Practices: Children and Grief, Aging and Long-Term Care, and Medical Family Therapy.
Dr. Cowdery teaches marriage and family therapy classes and maintains a small private practice in San Diego. She and her husband have two children and a Schnorkie named Fillmore.
