We all recognize that there is power in our words. That is why we experience goosebumps when listening to a powerful song, poem, or story. As a writer, TCSPP student Carolyne Ouya understands the power of words better than most. She often uses poetry as a medium to process her emotions during difficult times like the ones we are experiencing now. As a budding mental health professional, her goal is to empower others to find their voices and power through their words.
The poem excerpts in the video are from Carolyne’s poem “Faith and the Apocalypse”. Listen to the full poem here.
